As from today a petition has been launched by the New Zealand Educational Institute against further cuts in Early Childhood Education.

Labour leader Phil Goff is promising to restore the huge $400 million cut from NZ early education.

He says the latest cuts will cost families between $25 and $35 per week extra for their childcare, meaning children will lose out on crucial parts of their learning.

Any cuts at this vital stage of a childs learning can only be a bad thing. What do you think? Have you been directly affected?
